Clinique Altera

Another way forward

Montréal • Québec • Ontario • Online

At Clinique Altera, we believe there is always another way forward. The name Altera comes from the Latin root meaning “the other” or “another way”. It reminds us that when you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or weighed down by old patterns, there are always new possibilities for growth, connection, and integration.

Founded by Amanda Hankins, MSW,on the ethos of offering compassionate, trauma-informed, accessible care designed to meet you where you are. Our services include therapy for individuals, couples, families, and groups; psychosocial and neuropsychological assessments, clinical supervision, coaching, workshops, and psychotherapy intensives. Whether you join us in person at our Montreal clinic or connect virtually through our secure, easy-to-use platform, our team is ready to connect and meet your unique needs.

Services are available in French, English, Ukrainian, Russian, and Arabic. You may choose your clinician, or we can thoughtfully help pair you with someone whose approach, expertise, language, and lived or cultural understanding best fit your needs and goals. We recognize that finding a clinician who not only understands your concerns professionally, but who may also share or deeply understand aspects of your cultural background, language, identity, values, migration history, family dynamics, or lived experiences can make a meaningful difference in feeling safe, understood, and connected in therapy.
