Psychosocial Support Supervisor, Social Worker

Nadina Ramessar brings over 15 years of clinical experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through life’s most challenging seasons. Her work is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and respect for each person’s unique story, creating a space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to grow.

Nadina integrates humanistic, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, systemic, and evidence-based approaches to help clients deepen self-awareness, strengthen relationships, and navigate stress with greater confidence. She believes healing is not linear, but that meaningful recovery and transformation are possible when people feel safe, seen, and supported.

She works with individuals and couples facing anxiety, depression, burnout, compassion fatigue, trauma, anger, relationship conflict, and major life transitions. Nadina offers couples counselling focused on communication, reconnection, conflict resolution, and navigating relational stress with care and accountability. She also provides anger management support that is compassionate, practical, and oriented toward emotional regulation, communication, and long-term change.

Nadina has particular experience supporting BIPOC clients and families, offering culturally sensitive and anti-oppressive care that honours identity, lived experience, and the impact of systemic stressors. She also works with trauma-exposed professionals including first responders, veterans, healthcare workers, and law enforcement personnel who may be navigating chronic stress, burnout, or trauma-related challenges.

In addition to therapy, Nadina provides psychosocial assessments for families seeking legal protection or support for vulnerable loved ones, including mandates, tutorship, and related family care planning needs. Her assessment work is thoughtful, clear, and compassionate during often difficult decision-making periods.

She also offers parent coaching, perinatal and postnatal support, and clinical supervision for other helping professionals.

Nadina offers fully bilingual services in English and French through Clinic Altera, available in Montréal and virtually across Québec.

Fun Fact: Nadina is a musical bookworm who feels equally at home getting lost in a novel, exploring the outdoors, or planning her next travel adventure.
