Under the direct supervision of Amanda Hankins, Morgan Marden is undertaking a clinical internship at Clinic Altera to complete her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology.
Morgan is interested in offering psychologically informed support to adults struggling with anxiety, stress, motivational difficulties, depression, and to young adults navigating anxiety, identity development, and issues relating to the self (self-image and self-esteem).
She is interested in working with clients experiencing ADHD-related challenges, in areas such as executive function coaching, which offers clients assistance with emotional regulation, organization and planning, and difficulties with motivation. She continues to cultivate her ability to provide queer-informed counselling, to best support and provide affirmative care to 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals.
Morgan brings a diverse range of personal and professional experience to her clinical work. She identifies herself as a neurodiverse queer woman with a disability, motivating her passion and dedication to accessible and culturally informed counselling practices. She is committed to approaching counselling from an empathetic, open and curious perspective in order to understand the client’s story and their specific needs.
As a clinical intern, Morgan receives close supervision and ongoing training from Amanda Hankins, MSW, RSW, T.S (Psychotherapist), the Founder and Clinical Director of Clinic Altera. This means clients benefit not only from the direct care of Morgan but also from the added guidance, support, and clinical insight of an experienced senior therapist.
Working with a clinical intern can be an excellent choice for clients seeking high-quality therapy at a more affordable fee. Intern therapists often bring fresh knowledge, deep attentiveness, and strong commitment to growth, while working within a carefully supervised clinical environment.
Morgan’s fees are offered on a sliding scale, starting at $100 per session, with flexibility down to $50 if confirmed collaboratively based on circumstances and availability. Morgan offers empathetic, culturally informed, and accessible therapy support in-person and virtually in Montréal, as well as remotely across Québec and Ontario.
