ADHD Coaching and Therapy: Understanding Your Brain, Reclaiming Your Rhythm
ADHD Coaching and Therapy: Understanding Your Brain, Reclaiming Your Rhythm
Do you ever feel like your brain has ten browser tabs open, and one of them is playing music but you can’t find which one?
Do you have bursts of brilliance followed by exhaustion or guilt?
Do you wonder how other people make life look so… linear?
If you’ve ever felt like you’re too much and not enough at the same time, you might be navigating a nervous system that’s wired a little differently. And that’s not a flaw. It’s information.
At Clinic Altera, we see ADHD as a difference in rhythm, not a deficit. Our ADHD coaching and therapy services are designed to support children, teens, and adults in understanding their unique patterns, working with their brains instead of against them, and building systems that make life a little more possible, and sometimes even joyful.
A Different Way of Seeing ADHD
For us, ADHD isn’t just about focus or distraction. It’s about connection to your body, your emotions, your story, and the world around you.
We recognize that ADHD rarely exists in isolation. Many of our clients also identify as neurodivergent in other ways, such as autism, dyslexia, giftedness, or sensory sensitivity, or carry histories of trauma, anxiety, or complex emotional experiences. We approach ADHD in its full context, understanding that your nervous system tells a story shaped by environment, identity, and experience.
Our clinicians bring a Queer, BIPOC, and trauma-affirming lens to every conversation. We honour the ways culture, gender, race, and belonging shape how ADHD is expressed, perceived, and often misunderstood.
Who This Work Is For
We work with:
Children and teens who are struggling with focus, big emotions, or school-related overwhelm
Adults who have spent years feeling lazy, inconsistent, or too sensitive, and are ready to rewrite that story
Parents who want to better understand and support their neurodivergent children
Queer, trans, and BIPOC folks seeking affirming care that understands intersectionality
Professionals and students juggling high performance, burnout, and self-doubt
Anyone navigating ADHD alongside trauma, anxiety, or other forms of neurodivergence
You don’t need a formal diagnosis to start, just curiosity about how your mind works and a desire to build a kinder relationship with it.
What ADHD Coaching and Therapy Look Like
Our process blends therapeutic depth and coaching structure, balancing insight with action.
Step 1: Intake and Understanding
We begin by exploring your story, not just symptoms, but patterns, context, and nervous system responses. This is where we get curious about the why behind your overwhelm, procrastination, or emotional reactivity.
Step 2: Coaching and Integration
Through a series of structured sessions, we work on practical strategies for focus, time management, and self-regulation. But unlike traditional coaching, this phase also includes somatic awareness, emotional attunement, and accountability rooted in compassion rather than pressure.
Step 3: Ongoing Support and Maintenance
You’ll have the option for bi-weekly or monthly check-ins to help sustain progress, manage transitions, and stay connected to your growth. Think of it as ongoing nervous system support, not just a follow-up.
How We’re Different
Our ADHD coaching isn’t about forcing your brain into a neurotypical mold. It’s about creating systems, habits, and environments that align with your natural rhythm.
We integrate approaches from psychodynamic therapy, trauma processing, somatic awareness, and executive function coaching, always attuned to the emotional and cultural realities that come with being a human in this world.
