Therapy Dog, CCO (Chief Comfort Officer)
We are pleased to introduce Silky, a two-year-old Cockapoo who may be present during sessions with Misanka. Gentle, well-behaved, and affectionate, this friendly companion loves cuddles and enjoys providing comfort and companionship to clients of all ages. The presence of a dog in therapy sessions can offer many benefits. Interacting with a calm, friendly dog can help reduce stress and anxiety, promote relaxation, and create a warm, welcoming environment. Therapy dogs can also help clients feel more comfortable sharing their thoughts and emotions, foster a sense of connection and safety, and provide emotional support during difficult conversations. Silky has a calm temperament and enjoys quietly sitting with clients, offering gentle companionship throughout the therapeutic process. Participation with the dog is always optional, and clients are welcome to choose the level of interaction that feels most comfortable for them. Misanka and Silky look forward to helping create a supportive, compassionate, and healing space for all clients.
