The Relational Leadership Immersion: Leading Without Losing Yourself

The Relational Leadership Immersion: Leading Without Losing Yourself

For the ones who hold it all together until they can’t.

Over the years, I have watched so many incredible clients—therapists, physicians, educators, entrepreneurs, leaders—burn out not because they didn’t care, but because they cared too much.

They gave endlessly. They overextended. They showed up again and again for others in systems that rarely made space to hold them back. I’ve seen how organizational pressures, impossible expectations, and systemic inequities can quietly pull people away from their own purpose. They start out driven by meaning and compassion, and end up disconnected from both.

As a psychotherapist and clinical director, I have worked with high performers in medicine, mental health, and academia, including at Harvard University, MIT, and McGill. Time after time, I witnessed the same pattern: people who want to make a difference but end up depleted, questioning whether they can keep doing the work they love.

That is what inspired me to create The Relational Leadership Immersion, a 3 to 6-month high-touch coaching container for people who carry a lot emotionally, mentally, and relationally.

Leadership is relational

Traditional leadership programs tend to focus on strategy, productivity, and performance. But leadership begins with how we relate—to ourselves, to others, and to the systems we exist within.

Relational leadership asks different questions. Instead of “How do I get more from my team?” it asks, “How do I create safety, trust, and space for my team to thrive?” Instead of “How do I manage my time better?” it asks, “What is my nervous system trying to tell me about my limits, my boundaries, and my needs?”

This approach is rooted in trauma-informed and attachment-aware principles. It helps leaders move from reactivity to regulation and from control to connection. Sustainable leadership doesn’t come from pushing harder. It grows from the ability to lead in a way that is attuned, embodied, and grounded in relationship.

A personalized and supportive coaching process

The Relational Leadership Immersion is not a one-size-fits-all coaching program. It is a high-touch, integrative process that blends psychotherapy, leadership development, and experiential practices to help you grow in both insight and embodiment.

Over 3 to 6 months, we work together through:

  • Weekly 90-minute sessions (in person or virtual) focused on regulation, clarity, and relational growth.

  • Unlimited connection between sessions for real-time support and reflection as you integrate new awareness.

  • Goal mapping and leadership vision planning to translate insight into sustainable action.

  • Personalized resources including reflection prompts, reading lists, and nervous system tools.

  • Experiential methods such as Brainspotting, Safe and Sound Protocol, and attachment or personality assessments to deepen understanding and unlock clarity.

This process is designed for therapists, healthcare professionals, small business owners, and high-performing leaders who want to reconnect with their purpose without losing themselves to the demands of their work.

What you will gain in your coaching container

By the end of the container, you will:

  • Understand and shift the relational patterns that drive burnout

  • Build steadiness and regulation under pressure

  • Communicate with clarity and empathy

  • Create teams and relationships grounded in trust and safety

  • Reconnect with the meaning, values, and vision that drew you to your work in the first place

This is not about productivity for its own sake. It is about presence. It is about returning to yourself so you can lead from wholeness instead of depletion.

Why this work matters

Before founding Clinic Altera, I worked in leadership education and student well-being at Harvard, MIT, and McGill. In every setting, I saw the same quiet truth: people who care deeply are often the most at risk of burnout.

We don’t burn out because we are weak or uncommitted. We burn out because we have been conditioned to care without being cared for. Many of us work within systems that reward overextension and overlook the human cost.

Relational leadership is about reclaiming that humanity. It is about creating cultures—both within ourselves and within our teams—where compassion and accountability coexist. Where empathy is seen as strength. Where we can lead and be led from a place of connection.

The invitation

If you are ready to lead differently, I invite you to explore The Relational Leadership Immersion. Together, we will slow down, reflect, and create a path toward leadership that feels sustainable, embodied, and deeply aligned with who you are.

Sessions can be held in person in Montreal or virtually from anywhere.
